Restoration, Repair and Alterations.

One of the things I am most passionate about is breaking the cycle of fast fashion. This includes the repairs, restorations and alterations that can sometimes be done to give a loved kilt a new lease of life. Pictured here is a restoration I completed on a kilt that was well loved, by the original owner and the current owner(Grandfather and Grandson). Pleats were sewn back together, a join was made where there was originally none, canvas was replaced, buckle chapes reanchored and leathers replaced. The original leatherwork was transformed into keyrings for family members. These small jobs have added another chapter to the story of this kilt, ensuring its wear for future generations. If this is something you would like more information about, or if you would like to chat about altering an existing kilt, please get in touch.
